The vocational training offered by The School is practice-based and geared to the demand for make-up artists in the labour market.
The study programme begins with the basic techniques that every make-up artist uses and the adjustments that ensue from this - excluding taste and fashion.
The School's highly-trained instructors teach the importance of disciplined work. Lessons in hair styling and the various aspects of camera work and lighting studied in the photography lessons ensure that the make-up artist succeeds in 'all round' development.
The study programme also devotes time to presentation to clients and how to deal with clients and models.
There is no better preparation for a career than real assignments.
Thanks to the School's years of experience in the field it is not difficult for the make-up artist trainee to find instructive work placement.

What will you be able to do at the end of the school year, when you have satisfied all the requirements for the course?
You will be able to do anyone up: the bride, the photographic model, the whole range of diversity in skin colour. You will make the second or third generation woman look flatteringly youthful and give a man a refined look.
Whatever is needed, from natural look to lavish glamour look.

Work placement for the catwalk, the theatre, a show? It's all in the lesson material.
Correction techniques? The School of Mieke Petiet is known for it.
Your own face? Of course you will learn all there is to know about it.
The explosion of colours for cheeks, eyes and lips? That only comes after understanding lighting. Ultimately, you will turn out an overall look which will include hair styling, another area the School is expert in, because there is of course more to this than just make-up alone.
